The PROFIBUS Group will be supporting the newly-launched Sensors & Instrumentation show at The NEC, September 25 & 26 2013 where we are on stand B8.

The PROFIBUS Group will also be presenting a Workshop at 3.00pm on the 25th.

Entitled "Overview of PROFIBUS and PROFINET - characteristics and features" the presentation will cover application areas and industries, showing how these flexible technologies can provide open, cost effective and reliable solutions across a range of application areas including factory automation, process control, high reliability and safety related applications.

It will encourage potential users that PROFIBUS and PROFINET are economically worthwhile, comparatively easy to use and can give very reliable control. The presenters will also explain the benefits of joining the UK PROFIBUS Group. The PROFIBUS stand will feature some of the tools in common usage for configuring, commissioning and testing PROFIBUS systems.

The presentation will be led by our Technical Officer, Andy Verwer ably assisted by Profibus Group Committee member Dale Fittes.

According to the organisers, the show is already receiving strong support from exhibitors, well-known publications and distinguished engineering institutions, including The Profibus Group, the Institute of Measurement & Control, magazines Industrial Technology, Industrial Plant & Equipment and the new Controls, Drives & Automation publication, DP&A, and IEN together with the website Sensorland.com.

This focused event reinforces how important Instrumentation is for the design and implementation of measuring, monitoring and actuation systems and in data acquisition and processing, playing nowadays a major in many technological areas, including certification, control and information.
