Join us again at Stratford!

The PROFIBUS Group was founded in May 1993. Twenty two years later, we’re still celebrating, this time with a two-day Conference with Workshops and Table Top Exhibition to be held 23/24 June 2015 at The Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, where we have held our conferences for a number of years.

We’ve invited some top speakers and some very able engineers to present the facts and demonstrate the systems. People such as PI Chairman Karsten Schneider to present the Keynote Address and unveil interesting new information about our technologies going forward. The conference is designed for engineers, managers and indeed anyone concerned with the real issues of implementing fieldbus and/or industrial Ethernet technologies.

The programme will contain a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions that are suitable for a wide variety of experience; from first-time users to those with extensive experience with working systems. It will cover latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology for factory and process automation including safety, motion control, wireless implementations and integration with the Internet and MES. The event will concentrate on the real issues of implementation, maintenance and management of PROFIBUS and PROFINET systems.

There will also be a PI Dinner the first evening (optional)  that will give delegates the opportunity to meet and network with the industry’s VIPS and experts including members of the UK Group.

Free Books

Renowned PROFIBUS author James Powell of Siemens AG, Canada will be at the conference to launch the 2nd edition of  his popular book \"Catching the Process Fieldbus\", about which he says \"the big thing ... is the addition of PROFINET\".

James will have with him few signed copies to give away to conference delegates.

“This book is a must read if you want to get started with PROFIBUS or PROFINET. Just the right balance between theory and real live experience!” commented Karsten Schneider, Chairman of PI.

Valuable Prizes to be Won

Other attractions will include the opportunity for some lucky delegates to win valuable prizes donated by our Training Centres, VTC and MMU. There are places to be won on the new UK Certified PROFIBUS System Design course and the Certified Installer course.

There will also be a number of book prizes to be won including PROFIBUS in Practice, Book 1 for installers, Book 2 for maintenance technicians or troubleshooting engineers, and Book 3 for automation systems buyers or designers

Delegates will also have the chance to win one of 10 copies of the new edition of  Industrial communication with PROFINET Written by Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Popp, the work gives field device manufacturers, plant manufacturers, and commissioning engineers a comprehensive and practical introduction to the functionality and use of PROFINET.
